The Webex Calling team just returned from Cisco Live US 2024, where we engaged with thousands of customers and partners. The event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our latest innovations and gather valuable feedback from our users. Here are the top five announcements from Cisco Live 2024 that we’re most excited about.
15+ million Webex Calling users
Today we’ve helped more than 15 million users to transform their business with Webex Calling. Our service is available through three flexible PSTN options in over 160 markets globally. We’ve added over 30 new markets this year as well as a new media point of presence in the United Arab Emirates for Webex Calling and Contact Center that delivers improved media quality in the region. Over the next 12 months we plan to continue expanding our global footprint.
Customer Experience Essentials enhancements
We launched Customer Experience Essentials in April 2024, and continue to enhance this offer. Now generally available are barge and whisper features that enable supervisors to provide valuable agent training and coaching. In the second calendar half of 2024 we will launch wrap-up-codes, a highly requested feature that helps agents to make the most out of every conversation.
Webex Calling by Tata Communications
Tata Communications is a longstanding Cisco partner and a Certified Calling Provider for Cloud Connect for Webex Calling. In May 2024, we launched Webex Calling by Tata Communications in the India market, a service ideal for businesses with headquarters or branch offices in India. With Webex Calling by Tata Communications, businesses can leverage Tata’s experience and local regulatory expertise in the India market to drive cloud migrations to success.
Call recording available natively with Webex Calling
We now offer Call recording natively with Webex Calling for no additional fee. Recordings are stored securely in the Webex cloud and customers have a total of 100GB of recording storage that can be used for calls and meetings. Today, users can access recordings in the Webex User Hub. In July, users will be able to access recordings directly in the Webex App.
Call recording API
We’re extending our native call recording capabilities to partners with our new call recording API. Partners can access call recordings stored in the Webex cloud via API and leverage their technology and expertise to deliver new capabilities to Webex Calling users.
We’re excited that Theta Lake, a leader in compliance, is now a Webex Calling API recording partner. Theta Lake’s calling integration is part of a complete portfolio of integrations that also includes Webex Messaging, Webex Meetings, and Webex Polling.
